SCILL stands for Skills, Career, Innovation, Leadership and Learning. The SCILL board supports the development of the legal profession and serves as AIJA’s hub for skills and career training.
We focus on AIJA members’ professional and personal development, helping AIJA members become more effective, successful, and balanced. SCILL’s work is built on three pillars: (1) a pool of trainers providing free one-to-one and group coaching at main AIJA events; (2) Online learning (webinars and collaboration tools); and (3) practical trainings and workshops across AIJA events on topics such as leadership, diversity, public speaking, negotiation, client development, and legal project management.
Throughout the year, SCILL delivers individual or join sessions with other AIJA commissions. At AIJA’s flagship events (Half-Year Conference and Annual Congress), the board typically runs practical trainings and workshops.
